OPERATION
The digital thermostat allows for setting temperatures by 1 C increments anywhere between +10
and -22 C. This allows for infinite control of inside fridge temperature, the thermostat has
a differential of 2 C either side of the set temperature, this is done to elevate the compressor
stop/starting to maintain an exact temperature and using up valuable battery power. e.g. Bushman
set at 0 C will cut in at approx. +2 C and cut Out -2 C (average temp 0 C).
A practical tip for storing a variety of products is to set the thermostat to -1C,
under normal operating conditions with regular use the centre of the fridge will be
maintained at apporx. 2 C, and the accessories basket in the high lid position will
maintain a temperature of approx. 4-5 C, perfect for those lettuces, tomatoes and items
normally stored in your crisper. No more brown lettuce leaves and soggy tomatoes.
Obviously if the bushman was set to -1C and the fridge remained unopened for some time,
then eventually the entire fridge would be at -1C as set.
Want to keep items frozen but not everything else? Simply place the frozen items
in the bottom of the fridge, then dial up -4 C. This will maintain their frozen state
but will not freeze the items above or those tall bottles. The crisper would be approx.
2 C while the refrigerator would be approx 1 C.
